I made a little freesite featuring pegging content: Bending Over For Her. I want to get a bit of traffic to my new AVS site Pegging Porn and this will help. To do that I went around submitting the site to porn linklists and invariably I had to categorize it as “femdom” (female domination/fetish) content.
That’s the thing with the porn industry, it loves to come up with categories for things. And when content doesn’t easily slot into one category or another it can reveal just how arbitary, sexist and racist some categorisations are. Interracial, anyone?
Is pegging always “femdom”? It’s an interesting question. I’m inclined to say no, because pegging as defined by Dan Savage is a consensual activity that should involve pleasuring the man. At the same time, strap-on anal sex is a well-worn tool of the dominatrix and is standard fare for female-domination fetish porn.
Perusing various male-female strap-on sites, I was interested to see how many focused on the apparent pain and humiliation of being pegged. For a lot of pornographers, receiving anal sex is about being “the bitch” and all anal must be painful. A shame, I think.
But can pegging be sexy without the power element? For many men, the appeal of straight strap-on sex is the turning of tables, the giving up of control - being “fucked” instead of being “the fucker.” Surely in that situation it means there is some female domination involved?
I made Pegging Porn without that focus on fetishized femdom. It’s just got normal-looking couples (some of them real-life couples) engaging in some fun anal play with a strap-on dildo. I suspect that makes it quite a rare porn site.

OK, OK, I know. This blog has been deader than a er… deadlock for the past few weeks. I’m sorry. I really am. No, I mean it.
Problem is, I’ve been away a lot visiting relatives, going to weddings, and then there was Christmas with all it’s subsequent overeating, hangovers and liver damage, but that’s over now. I’m here. I’m back. And I’m psyched and ready to start blogging about weird sex stuff again. So here goes…

I’ve created a new category in the linklist - Female Orgasms.
I’m rather proud that I have this category. I’m sure the majority of porn link directories won’t have it. Sure, there might be a “Squirting” category, but I wanted to have a page that was broader, more inclusive and also more positive.
For too long, porn has only been about the male orgasm. That is the ultimate point of many sex scenes because it’s assumed that the viewer is always male and that’s how sex should end.
Female orgasms have been given short shrift in porn for a number of reasons. The women in porn are fantasy objects, so their pleasure isn’t really the main priority.
There’s also the whole obsession with depicting pleasure visually. This is why the cumshot is so important - it proves the guy had an orgasm. Until recently porn producers couldn’t work out how to conclusively show that a woman came, so often they just didn’t bother with it at all.
The popularity of “squirting” or female ejaculation has come about because it gives pornographers a way to “prove” she came. Whether the copious quantities of fluid gushing everywhere is necessarily the real thing doesn’t matter… it looks like she had an orgasm, so everyone’s happy.
As a woman I wanted to make a female orgasm category because it’s more inclusive. Not every woman squirts, fabulous as it may be, and I really hope young women aren’t getting the idea that everyone does it or that it’s something that they should be doing.
Also, there are some sites out there that are simply about female orgasms, wet sheets or not. One of the more interesting versions of this is The Female Orgasm. These guys are genuinely curious about all things orgasmic, and are eager to show contractions. They want proof, alright, but they want quivering, not gushing.
Interesting idea.

Wired has a nice overview of the Leia’s Metal Bikini phenomenon.
The skimpy outfit worn by Carrie Fisher in Return of the Jedi has become an object of lust and admiration for thousands of geeks around the world. The metal bikini regularly turns up at fan conventions, making male Star Wars geeks very happy (one video said “Thanks George! You don’t get this in Star Trek!”). Female fans make their own or you can order a costume from specialist designers. The bikini site features hundreds of photos of these keen fans showing off their outfits (and their flesh). This particular fetish even turned up in an episode of “Friends”.
