This BBC news item reveals just how much the Chinese love to eat dick.

Penis is a Chinese delicacy which supposedly increases virility if eaten often. The Guolizhuang restaurant in Beijing claims to be the only eatery in China that specialises in animal penis dishes.

On the menu are a wide range of genitals, including dog’s dicks, reindeer penis and bull perineum. Seals, snakes and oxen also get the penis hotpot treatment.

Nestling beside the dog’s penis are its clammy testicles, and beside that a giant salami-shaped object.

“Donkey,” says Nancy. “Good for the skin…”

She guides me round the penis platter.

“Snake. Very potent. They have two penises each.”

I did not know that.

Unfortunately the restaurant also offers tiger’s penis, a product which is illegal and which has helped drive the tiger to near-extinction.
